stopovers fo sho
Day 4: So we woke up and had some breakfast in the hotel. Then mommy went ahead to the little beach and me and daddy went to ABC stores to get snorkeling equipment and a bracelet I bought for jules but decided he wouldnt like so I'm gonna give it to Ergin haha. Then we met up with mommy at the beach and found out the current was too strong cuz of the hurricane and we couldnt go in (even tho she did but ppl were worried bout her on the beach apparently) So we packed up and checked out and made our way to find something to explore til our plane was leaving. SO we found this like "sacred village" thingy on the way to the airport and drove thru a marina to get to it. We parked and walked thru a small little forest like place where all the polynesians originally lived so ti was considered sacred. it was really cool and when we got to the beach there was a big hut like structure and shit. And there was a group of japanese high school science students on a field trip ther studying the sea turtles and we got to see some! It was really nice out aside from the completly clouded sky and so I ran back to the car and decided to get my snorkeling stuff cause i had my swim suit on. I also saw a fun spider! So then I went for a swim and swam to the other side of the beach where i met up with mommy and daddy who walked on the beach and we saw fun things like fish and crabs. I then swam back and took underwater pictures with my new camera. well see how those turn out. So we went to the airport and waited outdoors to board. We got to see some Navy planes take off real close. pretty cool. Got to the airport after a 25 min flight and checked into an airport hotel which was literally under a highway overpass. HA sweet. noisy room. We had to go to another hotel for dinner which was similar to ours. Then we came back and watched an episode of law and order with the inside scoop on Finn. haha but then i read some of my book and we al passed out. Day 5: went to the airport bright and early and took our 10 hour flight to Taiwan. AWESOME airplane with lilac decorations and kickass entertainment systems. Touch screen tv's on the back of every chair with over 25 movies to chose from on demand per person. so u could watch whatever whenever. I watched blades of glory (awesome!), waitress, fracture, chaos and shrek 3, all were kinda mediocre and then an episode of cold case which was really fucking sad :( but i was definitely entertained. fastest 10 hr flight ever haha. Then we landed and saw lexi and ergin!! YAY! btu i guess thats day 6! | | Tuesday, August 14th, 2007 | | 8:05 pm |
TRIFECTA! what a sexy word.
Day 3: Slept in our room for the first time. It is like a mini-apartment with one bedroom, one bath, a kitchen, washer dryer livingroom (my bedroom with the pullout couch) and a blacony. Woke up after a dream that the glass doors shattered from wind and rain and the hurricane was pounding away at our balcony. Didn't happen. Hurricane Flossie from satellites I actually awoke to blue beautiful skies and little to no wind. Waited for mommy and daddy to get up (THATS RIGHT I WAS UP BEFORE THEM!! WOWWWW) and had some breakfast (soup and leftover ribs haha). Then me and daddy went down to the beach with my waterproof camer and went as far into the water as we could. It was a sand beach that turned into lavarocks as soon as the water started. I was kinda upset since i wanted to swim in the gorgeous and WARM water but it was really fun trying to walk on the rocks with daddy. Then we saw fun critters like sea urchins and I took underwater pictures of them and just as my camera broke.. or ran out or something.. we saw what looked like sunfish? They were super skinny big BRIGHT yellow fishies!! SOoooo cool! There was also a black one with a blue stripe and we think an orange one. So pretty :) I'll have to buy a new underwater camera. Then we walked to the other part of the beach (this was a very tiny beach, only about 40 feet long) and i helped a little girl and her brother move a lava rock because "If it gets wet it'll be destroyed by aliums!!" hahaha SOOOOO cute! Then went back to the hotel and dried off and went out with daddy again to SAFEWAY (havent been to one of these since Canada!) and got lots of delicious food so we can make lunch and dinner here in case the hurricane was bad. Came back and ate lunch and found out that the current weather is the closest the hurricane will be to the island... crazy cause its not even raining out haha. I guess this is a hawaiian hurricane. So then i just hung out and relaxed while mommy napped and daddy computered. Then we all went down to the pool and watched cute and some very obnoxious kids in the pool. I swam shortly but felt too much liek i was in a pool of piss. Me and momy went in the jacuzzi then we all just laid out for about an hour, then came back in. Lexi said a hurricane might hit taiwan while were there! I hope not! haha that would suck. I'm in a trifecta of a volcano, earthquake and hurricane all in a matter of days which is pretty much the shit since no one got hurt or anything damaged. Best way to experience natural disasters. Pretty fucking cool. Also the earthquake caused a landslide or lahar which is pretty cool too. ha I guess im weird for being happy about shitty weather. Tomorrow we leave the island to go back to honolulu to spend the night there to go back to taiwan. Much too short of a visit here but were not leaving til 4 so we'll have some of the day to snorkel/explore or whatever. The sun was setting and we took some beautiful pictures :) | | 7:27 pm |
Mahola = Thank you
Day 2: So we woke up at the crack of dawn (6 am) and made our way out to the cab with the same lady down the Likelike Highway (pronouned Licky Licky). Turns out she's korean (my dad won that battle). Anyway we got our boarding passes at the airport and checked our baggage. Went and got some food at a little restaurant and waited for the plane. This was a tiny plane with no assigned seating so I made sure I was able to get to the front of the line which was sweet. Upon getting on the plane, we asked the stewardessed which side of the plane had the better view and I got window on that side. They were two rows of three seaters all leather seats. pretty sweet for a cheaper interisland plane. We made our way past the islands that were in between Honolulu and the Big Island and landed within a half hour. Shortest plane ride I've ever been on and very pretty view. Pretty sweet. We were able to just walk off the plane down stairs they brought up to the side door which was pretty cool, however we didn't get leied, which I was half expecting haha. The airport was all open air which was crazy awesome and there was a band and dancers there to greet all the arrivers. We caught a shuttle bus to the rental car and were able to convince daddy on paying an extra $20 a day for the convertible :) thanks daddy! So then we drove to our hotel only to find out that the room wouldnt be ready until 3 (it was only about 10:30) so we decided to keep our luggage and brave the 3 hour drive to the volcanoes despite all of our jetlag. On the way we stopped at a really cute little fruit stand where we saw lizards and the craziest fruit I've ever seen. I bought a dragonfruit which was delicious and gorgeous.. a cross between a melon and a kiwi. I also got a peanutbutter chocolate smoothy. mmm. DRAGONFRUIT Then we continued the drive along the coast which was beautiful but then alternated between a barren wasteland of magma rock and a lush coastline lined with shacks. So weird. it kept catching us by surprise. Guess thats what u get when u live on a volcano. Most of the way we listened to a great oldies station 105.3 Lava FM. haha We finally arrived at the National Volcano Park and it was SOOOOO cool. Even though it was disappointing to find out that there would be no lava, (a new lava flow in July cut off the trail to Pu'u O' O, one of the active volcanoes so we could no longer get close enough to see it :( ) but we got to do the Caldera Drive and see AWESOME shit. There were steam vents and sulphur banks, ridge zones (huge crevaces in the earth), cinder cone volcanos, the caldera itself which was CRAZY, a rainbow in a crater, a devasted forest and the lava tubes in the rainforest. Oh and some random cool watertower in the rainforest. All very very cool. Although I did start coughing profusely after standing face into the wind on top of the caldera. I dont think my whooping cough recovering lungs were too fond of the sulphuric vapors that the volcano was emitting.. :( Still it was very cool leaning into the wind at the top of what was once a volcano, then a lava lake, now a caldera. Damn. Then we left for the 3 hour drive home, which only took a little less than 2 hours, and came back to the hotel. (Mauna Loa volcano, biggest mountain from the seafloor in the world!) We found out later that if we had waited 2 hours to leave, we wouldve felt the 5.4 magnitude earthquake that happened RIGHT near the park and caused a landslide! CRAZY! (we're staying at the bottom most circle on the left coast so we didn't feel it) Then we went to outback steakhouse for dinner and got some food/water supplies in preperation for the hurricane. We went back to the hotel and I was out by 10. Crazy crazy day. :) | | Monday, August 13th, 2007 | | 2:50 am |
and the adventures continue
SO after about a month of being home, here I am travelling the world again. First stop Honolulu. Day 1: So after getting to the airport in a very roundabout way, we were able to get into the presidential lounge, which was pretty sweet. cept they didnt allow outside food so we had to leave to eat btu it was still fun. Plane was delayed bout a half hour fo course cause its continental. Anyway, the flight was going just fine.. it was a 10 hour flight and.. plane catastrophy 1: about 4.5 hours in, one of the 8 toilets breaks down. So im like uh oh.. cause for some reason i pee like A LOT on planes.. anyway so i was like ok let me pee as much as possible before they all break down.. 5 minutes later, a second one was out.. 35 minutes later 4 were out... by 5.5 hours into the flight, all 8 toilets were broken.. LIKE WTF! That left us all with 4.5 hours of no peeing! So, before they announced that they were all broken i went to pee for the last time and with about 2.5 hours left they finally announced it. I made it through. they think it was a diaper... Second plane catastrophy.. : "If there is a medical doctor on board please report to the front of the plane immediately", they made this call twice followed by a call for a pharmacist. Turns out some guy in first class was really sick.. and this was with like 3.5 hours left... and a doctor went up to help, kept coming back, then kept going up again. it was kidna crazy. we think it was a heart problem... flight attendents were running back and forth carrying supplies like respirator tanks and shit.. crazy. when we got off the plane we was on a stretcher with a respirator and shit.. that must be scary as hell... 4 hours of agony on that plane Third plane catastrophy: well not a catastrophy but they forgot to bring on agriculture forms which u need for hawaii so they had ot hold us on the ground after we landed so we could all fill them out, but it went pretty quickly. Also there was a LOT of turbulence on the way down which was scary, we were flying off our seats and kids were screaming and the lights flickered. but it was all good. the flight really wasnt that bad for me tho other than peeing a lot. I watched spiderman 3, blind dating and the last mimzy, all which were ehh. But i started reading my book the short bus and its REALLy good so thats fun. SO then we finally land and the first thing i see is a beautiful rainbow amidst the fog diving into green mountains... like omg. no joke. it was awesome and my camera was dead, but i managed to snap a picture :) The airport had like a tropical garden and was partially outside. SO cool. Our taxi driver was a woman who was a grandmother of the cutest baby and had pictures of her so i took a picture of it. WOW adorable haha. She took us to our hotel in Honolulu and is picking us up again tomorrow morning to fly out to the Big Island, where we'll stay for two nights amidst the volcanoes!! So tonight we jsut strolled the beach by our hotel which was honestly a spitting image of the beach streets in Grand Theft Auto Vice City. But again, dead camera :( we caught the sunset and I stepped in the Pacific for the first time!! (at least that I can remember.. i dont remember California). Then we got sushi and tempura and noodles and went back to the hotel cause we were exhausted and have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow for the flight. (only 45 min tho) it's weird.. this area reminds me a lot of Miami but a lot like something unfamiliar. its kinda creepy cause it reminds me of like a disney set or something.. its hard to explain btu it seems like fake and forced kinda.. prolly cause were in a super touristy area tho. the rocks and trees look fake and theres music everywhere but only on one strip. hard to explain. oh and also, the rubbing alcohol i brought to prevent ingrown hairs leaked all over my suitcase so now almost all of my clothes wreak of rubbing alcohol. SHIT. So i'm hoping I can lay them out and they'll evaporate and be ok.. or i can wash them at the hotel tomorrow. HA. just my luck :) Oh and a hurricane is headed to hit the BIg island while were there.. so hopefully we get lucky and dont get too much bad weather. Also there was a lava flow over a main road so they had to close it. pretty crazy! anyway, im excited for tomorrow and need to look stuff up for us to do. I'll post again soon. Goodnight :) Current Mood: exhausted | | Friday, June 22nd, 2007 | | 1:13 am |
The trip comes to a glorious end :)
So today I woke up when Sam was leaving at like 8ish or 9 but decided not to catch the 10 am train, but the 12 instead. Then I woke up at 11:18 and was like SHIT i am SO missing the 12 train! So i RUSHED and ran to the train station (took the metro there) and then rushed around asking numerous people for directions as the station is huge and confusing. So finally I got my ticket, and went to the track after asking for more directions. While waiting there, I asked a group of people who looked like Americans if this was where the train to Segovia went. They said yea and I started talking to them. They were a husband and wife, with two kids and the dads sister, a mormon family from Las Vegas who were spending 3 weeks travelling spain. I sat with the kids for the 2 hour train ride and got to talking with the girl the whole time, kara, who was 16 and really cool. After the train ride I got the family's picture and kara's number and phone number so if I'm ever in Vegas I can stop by :) they were so nice. Then I said bye to them and went to the bus station. Here I met two guys, one 26 and one 27, Robert and Karl from New Zealand. They're accents were THE SHIT and they were both so cute. So I ended up hanging out with them the entire day. we went over to the aqueducts which were the shit, and got a map and walking route from the tourist center. I asked them if I could stick with them and we explored the aqueducts then made our way through the town together. We passed a cool monastery and the alkazar castle, which the royal family was visiting so it was closed :( damn royal family followed me from palace to palace! So then we took an off route and just walked back through the city a different way which was cool. Karl had a Nikon d80 which is the best and most expensive one and I was super jealous but happy to be around a fellow photographer who also had a 2 gigger and took as many photos as I did! :) So then we tried to get lunch somewhere but EVERYWHERE was closed for siesta, so we just got waffles at this litle stand. We took the bus back to the train station and found out we had an hour til the train came, so we went to the super market and bought some food. I think we got 2 baguettes, alliola? i think its called.. a garlic spread which was so good, they got salmon, cream cheese, and then tomoatoes, i got ham cubes which were amazing, a kinder toy which was CRAZY different and water. Maybe some more things I dont remember. Anyway, so we went ot the station and had a picnic on these benches inside right by the bathroom. It was hilariously funny and delicious. We caught the train back and exchanged info. We were all very tired by this point. There was a pregnant lady on the train who was sitting across from a little kid who wasnt hers and was like really angry cause he kept accidentally touching her and shit and she was like pushing him away and tsking and like looking around for a seat to move to. it was way weird cause u'd think she HATED kids, but she was pregnant. great. Anyway, so I got back and was exhausted so I said bye to the boys in the staiton and came back to the hostel to relax. It was already 9:30 when I got back so when Sam came back and asked me if I wanted to go to a jazz club with her friends I declined and updated! Well I gotta be up by 8 tomorrow so I need my sleep. Be coming home tomorrow! Goodnight!! :) Current Mood: happyCurrent Music: Deathcab for Cutie | | Wednesday, June 20th, 2007 | | 11:52 pm |
but the blisters are worth it... :)
So last time I left off, that night we got mcdonalds and just went to a few bars, I was really tired and wasn't having fun. So we came back. Next day, I woke up late and went shopping for shoes with sam. got some cute flip flops at the H&M, but theyre worn down already and dirty ad gave me blisters. oh h&m haha. then i made my way to the palace. I asked a few people who were speaking english how to get there and turned out they were going there too so I tagged along. They were 3 Syracuse students from CT, PA, and AZ. Cool :) very nice kids. so when we got there, after a walk through the gorgeous gardens, we saw cops and a parade kinda of horses. turns out we just missed th Arabian King who was staying at the Palace that day and therefore the Palace was closed :( BOO. So, I left my new friends, but took a picture of course :) (Meagan, Alex and Jeff) and then I went to explore. I stopped by the opera house, or Teatro Real, but it was close too... so I made my way over to the Museo del Jamon (museum of ham) but was unsuccessful in finding it due to bad directions. So not a great start to my adventurous day. So I gave up cause I was losing time and took a cab to El Prado. WOW. just wow. amazing museum. I get the hype now. it really si just a gorgeous place with gorgeous paintings. I have a new obsession for Ribera, who I've never heard of before. but his stuff is amazing. Saw the Garden of earthly delights that I stared at for god knows how long, and the goya paintings, which were stunning. Saw a rembrandt, which was decent, of a chubby lady. very well done, just decent subject matter. and saw some other things i dont remember that well. OH yea! One of a woman squirting milk from her tit into a man's mouth who is praying to her. forgot the name but very cool haha. So I got some things in the gift shop (my first splurge!) and then made my way back because sam was probably worried about me. I took the metro back, which I am a beast at doing now haha. I even bought my own ticket today! Booyah! Got back and Sam was at the hostal. We went out to the flamenco club!! AMAZING. It was so much fun. It was expensive (32 Euros!) but we got a drink with that (white wine) and the place itself was gorgeous. the dancers were all amazing and Juan was great to watch. haha tightest ass. The other guy was faster tho, or at least his dance was and I liked him the best. People started filing out but I had ordered a second drink (for 10 Euros!! my second splurge!) and so we stayed a bit longer. Finally, me and sam and two other women were the last ones left. We watched the final 2 dances which were awesome and each got another glass of white wine on the house. I was sufficiently wasted as they fill the glasses to the top here, which is great. haha. After a bathroom break, we left the club and ran into one of the singers outside, who was VERY flirtatious with sam. ew. haha I was trying to save her by saying ESCUALA MANANA the only thing i know how to say in that situation haha over and over again but sam didnt need my help and handled it well. apparently he was jsut trying to tell her where he was singing another night but we were too drunk to write it down and i dont speak spanish. Stopped at a falafel place that was AMAZING, or it couldve been cause iw as so drunk but im pretty sure their fries were up there with the washington square park fry place. and the falafel, BANGIN! So we made it home, and i went online, dont remember why, but then we both passed out. woke up a bunch of times restless and sore. then finally got up and was very sick. I thought i got food poisoning btu I think it was a mix of a hangover and my period. haha which is a relief. tried to go back to sleep but then just lazed out online then got up finally. I was gonna go to segovia today but didn't buy a ticket the day before cause i dont speak spanish and i woke up too late cause i got sick. so i switched the days around. went over to the palace. stopped at the opera house first for a tour but there was a line so i left. then waited in the longest line ever at the palace and got in for free cause im an EU citizen. Went thru the pharmacy which was AWESOME. Shelves and shelves of medicine and vases/containers. SOOO COOL looking. Then saw the place where they brewed the medicines. awesome. then went into the palace itself. GORGEOUS. Like i've seen EU palaces before, but this was a palace to beat all others. really. It was phenomenal. Then I saw the aqueduct like structures in the courtyard and took pictures, which i couldnt do inside the palace :( so i went to the gift shop and bought a cheap little book with a few pics in it. hope it will suffice to sustain the memories :) then I tried the opera house again but the tours ended at 1!! I was so mad because I was there before 1 but left because I thought i could jsut catch it later. So I never got ot go in. Oh well, next itme im in madrid. I needed to plan this all out better for sure. So I sat at a little cafe along the Palace gardens and had pork tenderloin and carmelized onions on toasted bread with a gravy sauce which was delicious, and leek and potato chilled soup which was good but very creamy and was served cold, which was ok. Then I had a lemon tarte desert which was THE SHIT. mm but the service sucked cause i had to wait FOREVER in between. my Spanish still sucks for restaurants but I got by :) So then I went exploring and decided to catch the metro to some random museum i found in Sam's little guide book. El Museo Arcaeologiqua or something like that. AWESOME. Even tho it was all artifacts, which can blow sometimes, the Egypt exhibit, which was the only one i really wanted to see, was amazing. They had mummies, and arms, and skulls and costumes. SO cool. and you could take pictures in here!!! But I didn't find that out until after I left Egypt :( boo. I went back and took a few quick shots of the coolest stuff tho. The museum also had a replica cave of prehistoric drawings but it was really weird cause it wasnt a cave, it was an underground like museum room with fake rock only on the ceiling and you couldnt even see any drawings. very weird and dissappointing. OH and the museum was liek abandoned. there were literally MAYBE 9 other people in the whole museum while I was there. Guess archaeology isnt popular in spain. So then I left and walked towards the metro and saw a park where skater boys and bmxers were.. A LOT. So I went and sat and watched the beautiful boys be sketchy and assholes on their cute little bikes and boards and do awesome tricks. I got the balls to take some pictures but not the balls to take my time with the pictures so they're not that great. haha. Then I left cause I realized I need to stop liking that type of boy, theyre all demons. haha. So I took the metro to the Ventas stop and saw the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, the bullfighting ring. But of course, jsut my luck with buildings on this part of the trip, the tours also ended at 1 :( so I couldn't go inside, but i didnt get to walk aorund and it was beautiful from the outside. I could NOT stop thinking about the Sun Also Rises. Some guy came out of it while I waas outside and he was eyeing me so when I walked by the ticket booth, where he was talking to the vendor, he handed me two flyers, and flirted in spanish. he was a creep but it was cool cause now i got souvenirs! Ole!! haha So then I came back to the hostel. EXHAUSTED. and just relaxed. I had a big day today. So I chilled out and got some KFC, where they're sticklers for sticking to the menu in Spain. LAME. And then Sam came back and we decided to stay in for the night. I'm planning on going to Segovia tomorrow and I hope it all works out. I'm going to go for the 12 train because I figure I'll get there by 2 and have 6 hours til the last train out which leaves at 8, and I don't think i'll even stay that long. So we'll see. Time for bed. Last day in Spain! Goodnight :) Current Mood: amusedCurrent Music: Broken Social Scene in my headd :) | | Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 | | 9:22 pm |

Spain Day Dos
So woke up today, a bunch of times, finally got out of bed at 2. I really needed that night's sleep. Sam had left for class. So i got ready and looked up info, then made my way over to the metro. I took a metro 3 stops to this area I wanted to go to, and didn't mess up at all :) But when I got out of the metro I ahd no clue where I was so I asked this lady on a bench who spoke no english, but was really sweet and drew me a map. haha so I went to the Museo Reina Sofia, an art museum. It's near the Prado but the Prado is closed on mondays so i'll go there on Wednesday or Thursday. Anyway, I walked around and saw some cool shit. Lots of Dali and Picasso, and Miro, who for some reason I've never heard of before, but I was a big fan. The 4th floor was better, had 2 Dubuffets, which made me psyched and even 1 Cy Twombly! Also had an Isamu noguchi! None of them were by any means their best stuff but it was still cool to see it. I also marked other people's stuff that I liked so I can look them up later. It was fun, btu tiring walking around so much. Went to the restaurant to get some food but it was mucho expensive so I didn't get anything. Then took the subway back, since I didn't know that area. Was planning on jsut walking around Peurta del Sol, which is the area I'm staying in, but when I got out of the subway there was a huge crowd gathered around a building, and it was for the ceremony for La Liga cup and the official trophy presentation. So I stuck around and watched the bus come by and all the players get off, but even tho I was right near the front, my pictures were kinda lame because people pushed up and put their hands and cameras up and blocked mine :( but I kinda got a few players faces. Pretty lame after standing there for liek 45 min. It's really funny to hear them all singing Queen's We are the Champions, though because they sing all the words wrong and jsut make them up. :) and its been like on replay in the streets since the end of the game. haha So I left cause i was mad tired and went back to the hotel and updated my blog. :) Now I'm gonna rest up a bit and wait for Sam to get back (in like 30 min) and go to dinner since I haven't eaten like since I got to Spain other than that Cafeteria yesterday. ok well now im officially up to date. sorry if this has been mad boring. I put in too many details i know :( ok rest time. peace. Current Mood: exhaustedCurrent Music: Bright Eyes | | 7:25 pm |
the crowd kept pushing forward til they swallowed the police, yea they went wild yea they went wild
So me and Sam went to a subway stop to meet up with her friends. The subways are really easy to follow. So we got there early and went into a "Cafeteria" which was like a bakery. And I saw this pasta with what I thought was cheese, and ham and asked Sam to order it for me and ask for it to be heated up. So she did, and the woman looked at her really weird and then just got it out for her and gave it to us. When I got it I realized it wasnt cheese but mayo and thats why the lady was like what??? to it being heated but sam knew it was mayp too and just didnt say anything to me haha. Then I needed a fork, but sam forgot how to say fork, so she asked the lady for a spoon and she was like huh?? and looked at her soo weird. She was like.. "no.. but i have a fork..." haha, so we can officially never go back there. Then I met Sam's friends, her roommate Jordan, and her two friends Kate and Catherine. They didn't really talk to me at first which was weird, but I kept trying. Then we went back to the cafeteria haha and I got something else that i thought wouldnt be gross, but it was.. like an empanada or somethin?? idk anyway. Made our way over to the stadium because, little did i know, i picked the best night to get to madrid. The La Liga final game was this night at the Madrid Real Stadium and if Madrid won, they won the cup. (this is the cup game for all of Spain!). So our plan was to go to a bar, drink and watch the game, and then join the street celebration afterwards. So first we got flags from a stand and then we walked around a bit looking for a bar but couldnt find one. We found one bar that was completely packed, sweaty, and smoky and you had to stand and watch the game on the tiniest tv ever. But we stayed for a while, until I suggested we look elsewhere. I think this pissed off Jordan and Kate, but I didn't realize it was a big deal, because Sam and Catherine didn't want to stay either. I mean it was gross. There was no way I was standing there that wole time. So we started walking off to find another bar and Kate and Jordan were walking ahead of us by like 15 feet, I guess cause they were pissed, and all of a sudden a huge crowd of people started running around the corner in our direction with people screaming and yelling. Me and Sam got scared and I grabbed her and ran the same direction as them (which I thought would be the smart thing to do) but Katherine wouldn't come. So we stopped and then we heard POP... POP POP. 3 Gunshots. It got real quiet and then another wave of people ran around the corner towards us. I started to run again with Sam jsut to get further away from the street but Catherine was like walking towards it. We were liek Catherine come!! and then riot cops came out of nowhere and started chasing this one guy who was running who I think was the gunman, and then he ran directly toward us, so we liek jetted out of the way, since i didnt wanna become anyones hostage. But then I guess they stopped chasing him, or something? I missed what happened cause there was so much chaos, but I think the guy got away. Anyway, things calmed down a bit and cops flooded the area, so we kept walking the way we were going. We found out that there was a car crash followed by gun shots. We don't know if anyone was hit or not tho. So we got to the place where Kate and Jordan had run to when the commotion happened, and it was some like yuppy bar kidna thing? It was nice and relaxing but quiet with no sound on the tv. We got a pitcher of Sangria and talke dbout the shooting a bit. Catherine said she didnt run because she didnt know what she was running from. I guess that makes sense but I figured if the people who were there are running then they know what theyre running from and its probably a good idea to do what theyre doing. So after we calmed down from being terrified we watched some of the game, but me sam and Catherine agreed that we wanted a better atmosphere so we went looking for one. We walked kinda far form the stadium but found a little irish pub that was kinda packed but we had room to stand comfortably. Catherine got us all beers so we could stay and we watched the game there. Way better than the other bar. Madrid scored 3 goals in the second half that we were there (which was mucho exciting in the bar !!) and we won 3-1!!! Yay! So then we walked back to the stadium and after much indecision looked for wehre everyone was going (because there is a ceremony afterwards somewhere in Madrid btu we didn't know where). so we followed the crowds for a VERY VERY long walk, and made a pee stop on the way at Catherine's mom's hotel. Then rejoined the crowd, met up with Kate and Jordan again and Sam's guy friends Paul and Cameron, and made our way to the end of the line. There were SOOOO many people there it was crazy. We filled all the streets and it was completely packed. This was about 12:30 am and we stayed til about 2:30. We just kinda stood around because Kate and Jordan left to go pee and we were sposed ot wait for them but we lost them, and everyone jsut wanted to stay where we were so we could try to find them... for an hour. The bus with all the players went by which was exciting and people were climbing everything. It was insane. So right when we're about to leave, all of a sudden, a huge RUSH of people comes running in our direction, all looking very afraid. I got scared and hopped the little fence we were all sitting on to start running too (idk why its weird that thats my instinct...) but no one else I was with ran. So i went back and stood behind a tree that we were by, while crowds of people ran past us and we just stood there, since I couldnt go off by myself. But THEN, i heard shots ring out, and I knew right away that it was the riot police and that they were shooting rubber bullets. So I said to Paul and Sam, "those are the riot police, TRUST ME we need to go NOW" and Catherine was like "Dude just chil for real. it's no big deal", but Sam and Paul listened to me so we left. Like 5 seconds later there was a HUGE surge of people and we almost got trampled by everyone running. We walked fast on the outskirts of the mob but we were between two fences so it was a little hard. The runnings kept coming in waves, but I was hearing more and more rubber bullet shots and finally Paul backed me up and was like yea these guys are fucking hard core we should go. Then people behind us started screaming and running like insanely fast so we grabbed hands and started running til we got to a lull in the crowd again, but I lost a flip flop. So we got to the first side street and started walking and then from the side of us, we heard shots ringing out very close, and Paul yelled shit teargas! And i looked over and saw a canister and flashlights and smoke everywhere so we ran REALLY fucking fast up the side street, and after about a block walked again. But the cops started following people up the street, so we had to keep runnning which was terrifying cause when we looked down the street we could hear the shots still and see smoke and gas and shit. Not cool man. and i had one shoe. So we finally got to a calmer area after walking pretty far away and asked someone for directions, made our way back home, and finally made it to the hostel after saying bye to paul. WOW. Welcome to Madrid. What a crazy night. Got home, went online for a bit and talked to aaron, which was interesting and upsetting. lame. But who gives a fuck, I'm in Madrid. Then I passed out. What a night. Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: Queen - We are the Champions!! | | 7:04 pm |
End of Turkey, Beginning of Spain
So the last full day in Turkey began. Saturday. Woke up super late to my mom yelling at me and leaving the room. I was really confused then realized they'd left for the day cause i wouldnt wake up. I panicked, got dressed real fast and went looking for them. When I couldnt find them anywhere i went back to the room and cried cause i wasted my last day in Turkey then they walked in and my dad said they hadnt left yet and werent going to leave without me. I'm stupid. haha My mom was mad tho so she stayed in the hotel for the morning. Me and my dad met up with Erin, my dad's colleague from Canada who's writing a book with him, and took a taxi to Taksim, the touristy kinda area for shopping. I was cranky as hell cause i didn't wanna be there and then we finally got off of the beaten path and foudn a series of instrument and music stores that were awesome. We went into one and my dad almost bought a gorgeous handmade guitar for $400 but couldnt figure out how to simply get it home so he didnt :( then we kept on walking and found some awesome little shops, like this one where a guy makes and handpaints his plates. So cool! We bought a plate for Mark and I almost bought a defective plate for 15 lira but i didnt want to have to carry it home so I bought a tile instead which was jsut as awesome. There was also a leather shop with amazing paintings made entirely from leather. Picture frames and flasks too. Sad :( but beautiful what she did with them. Then we took a taxi home and I got lots of fun pictures, and went back to the hotel. My dad had to go with Erin to the closing ceremony for the seminar so I went up to the room and convinced my mom to go to the pool with me. The outdoor beautiful one was closed so we couldnt go in it cause of security reasons..?? but we snuck up to take pictures, even tho im sure I have some from our last trip. So we went in the indoor one which was amazing, and then we both got 30 min massages!! Amazing!!! Only I needed this a hell of a lot more by the end of the day haha. Went back to the room, showered, and got ready for the last tour of the trip. Went out to the Blue mosque first, which was the shit, and then the Hagia Sophia, which we didnt get to go to last time. It was gorgeous. We had a super rushed tour cause we were the last tour, but it was good cause we were all tired as hell. Then we went to TopKapi Palace, and saw all the same stuff I saw last trip, only some things were switched up like the jewelry and costumes. We also got to see the kitchenware which was AMAZING!! Huge cauldrons and shit. awesome. So we finally left and I saw Onur by the bus but had to get on the bus caus eit was leaving so I only got to kiss him on the cheek and say goodbye :( last time I saw him! Although he did send me an email reply to the picture I sent him so it's all good haha. Got back to the hotel late and had to leave right away for our dinner with the Turkish boys. Went to an awesome restaurant with AMAZING Turkish food. Omg the food on this trip was SOOO good. Had amazing conversations with Fatih and Nyazi, and my mom and dad. There were like 25 people at this dinner tho, just didn't talk with them. The best part of dinner was by far the desert tho. I'm going to get the recipe. That shit was AMAZING. omg. For dinner we had like a starter of things, assortments, then a pastrylike thing, then these like meatball-like thigns which were amazing, then kabobs mmmmmm, then the desert. awesome. i love how many courses there are. its so fun. Then said goodbye to everyone and went back to the hotel. didn't get much sleep and had to wake up super early the next day. Woke up with only 3 hours of sleep and made our way to the airport. Upon getting there, however, I was told that the ticket that I got for the return trip with the 200 Euro ticket was only a standby reservation. So I'd have to wait 2 hours to see if I'd get it. If not I'd just use my original ticket but that left at 4 pm and it was 7 am. So I ate breakfast with mommy and daddy, said bye to them, and then bought some presents at the gift shop. Went online to get the madrid hotel address which i totally forgot to do! and then facebooked sam to let her know I was comign early. Then i went back early to the counter, had to speak french to some germans in the turkish airport to find out where to go (so diverse! ahh! i love it!) and then got damn lucky and got a ticket. :) On the flight I had the windowseat (Spain!!) and an empty seat next to me again :) but a guy on the aisle. He kept staring at me and was witha big group of friends but turned out to be a nice spanish guy from some little island that he said was beautiful and that i have to go to, which i so will. I slept a little but the stewardesses were really mean and I didnt wanna sleep through lunch so I kept awake. Anyway got into Madrid by 4 and took a taxi to the hostel. The taxi driver I don't think got that I didnt speak Spanish because when I got in I said Aqui and pointed to the address on a piece of paper so later on he said some things and i just nodded haha. Got to the hostel which is actually really nice and rested up. Sam was there when i arrived which was good since I couldnt communicate with the reception lady. Just chilled out for a few hours, showered, and broke my straightener :( and then got ready to go out. ok New post this one is way too long, next one is VERY exciting. ready.. brreak. trying to recollect the past 2 days events... hmm
SOOO Friday. Woke up and went up to the 14th floor to meet mommy for breakfast. BEAUTIFUL view and reserved only for executives (me!!! haha). Then we went outside and JUST caught the tour bus. Made our way to a church which i forgot the name of and will post again later. This was a fun area because although it was often visited by tourists its was like on side streets and isolated so it felt more intimate. this place was super pretty and had been a church that was converted into a mosque, then back into a church. it was plastered over and then the plaster was all removed and what was recovered was GORGEOUS. I'll post pictures and the link when i get them up. Then we went to the little shops right around there and i saw pretty little stray kitties. :( stray animals are EVERYWHERE but i got good pics of them. Then I got some lentil soup and some DAMN good bread and then made the bus. Next stop was... omg my memory is so bad. i think i was partially stoned this day cause i cant remember a damn thing. I believe it was a mosque? I should know this.. suleyman's temple? Something like that. It was a mosque. That was the guy who worked ticket sales :) haha awesome looking dude. So then we went in with scarves they provided for us and took our shoes off at the door as usual. Very pretty. Then walked around a bit and went to a restaurant nearby that was DELICIOUS! Ate some fun foods and had good conversations with other people from the tour including a very attractive Canadian man from Montreal who was like 45 haha. Then we caught the bus back to the hotel instead of the bazaar cause we were tired and i fell asleep on the bus and woke up almost peeing. I needed to get off and make the bus wait for me and i had to pay for the bathroom (forgot they did that in europe) and went in the weirdest bathroom... it was literally a bath-room.. anyway. Went back to the hotel and was supposed to nap but instead i went online and shit and watched tv. Got ready real quick and went with mommy and daddy to the bosphorus cocktail cruise. Saw Onur before getting onto the cruise ship but he didnt see me. Got a little wasted on white wine and had a great time. Took lots of fun pictures and chilled with the canadian montreal couple and the Samuels and mommy and daddy. Got to see the turkish boys a little bit too. Then when i went downstairs to pee i got more wine and was looking out at the river and two men came up to me with a video camera. They asked me if it was ok and i laughed and said sure and they took turns standing next to me with their arms around me and videoing it. Next they came back with cameras and each took a picture of me. I was cracking up and i introduced myself. They were from Iraq and asked me where I was from and I laughed and said America!! Haha they thought that was hilarious and said we could be friends :) then I went upstairs and 3 turkish guys asked to have pictures with me and later they took pictures with me again. I was like a celebrity!! haha it was insane and HILARIOUS. Found out later these were the security guards for the boat cruise! haha. So then I went back down and took a picture with the Iraqi guys and it turns out one of them works for the Ministry of the Interior!! How high up! They're members of the Iraqi national police! I thought this was very funny, even tho lexi didnt get it haha. :) jk Lex i love you. (Iraqis) (security guys) Anyway then we came back to the shore to go to dinner at the hotel. Had a good and enlightening talk with Norm and his wife on the bus ride home. I love that guy. He's so the shit. :) Got back to the hotel and I ran into Onur which made me happy :) He's adorable! He told me to meet up with him after dinner. Had a good dinner with the fam and the Samuels. Always a good time with good company :) Then went with Daddy to see Onur who was jsut getting off work so he walked us out to the 7-11 and then i said bye to him :( Then came back to the hotel and stayed up too late again. I'll continue this post tomorrow about todays events because i have to be up for my flight in 3 hours! Goodnight!! Cause it's Istanbul not Constantinople
Mommy woke me up and I was cranky but she knew to leave the room and that I'd get up so she went to breakfast and I got ready. Went down and met an elementary school teacher from Barcelona named Sonya that mommy had befriended. Then went and met up with the tour, which I was not very excited about doing, and headed through Istanbul. First stop, the Spice bazaar. I had been here before last time, but enjoyed it just as much again. It's a fun place and people give you SO much attention it's insane. I've learned not to smile as much and me and mommy switched to speaking french so they wouldnt keep talking to us, but like everyone knew french as well! CRAZY. All I bought here was honeycomb which mommy ruined my dipping her fingers into. ew. I'll buy a new one. Went back on the bus after taking lots of fun pictures and made our way over to the Grand Bazaar. We were dropped off a few streets away and walked through some touristy streets first but headed straight to the bazaar (unlike some people who misunderstood the tour lady and never made it to the actual bazaar, we split from the tour right away haha). Went through and didn't see anything I hadn't seen before or elsewhere for cheaper. Same as last time but still a lot of fun. GOD they are soooo flirty. Best line of the day was "Come here! I've been vaiting for you......... all uv my life!" haha it was really the delivery of it but it was good. I just laughed and went on. Me and mommy actually got along today. Haggled with these two guys for like 25 minutes and got both items down to half price (cause were awesome) but I still think we got gipped. They were SOOO stubborn tho. We had to fake walk away like 9 times. Damn. Don't they know were from NY!?!? Anyway so I got Josh's present which is the shit. only Lexi's and Swap's to go. :) For some reason I am constantly bombarded by perfect Josh presents haha. it's weird. Especially here in Turkey. Left the bazaar and met at a starbucks which was exactly the same but with turkish writing on the menu. Eerie. Then went for the bus but had to wait a while for 4 people who got left behind. BOO. Then a lady came and sat the seat in front of me and TALKED liek crazy about herself and bullshit no one cared about to the woman next to her. She was liek prolly about 21 or 22 and SOOO annoying. Mommy said she sounded like Marissa Geller, i disagreed but I could see similarities for sure. I got to see fun things outside the bus INCLUDING cute skater boys in some parks. GOD they're everywhere aren't they!! I tried to get pictures but we were driving too fast because we had a police escort in the front and back of our bus haha. Got back to the hotel, showered and changed and then went to the banquet for the delegates and everyone form the convention. It was at the palace and was BEAUTIFUL. like OH MY GOD. I wann get married here. </a> They set it up amazingly and it's right on the Bosphorus, which is always amazingly blue. This was on the European side but you could see Asia from here, which was beautifully lit up at night. We found a good table and then explored the Palace which was HUGE and beautiful. So big we had to cut out early because we were going to miss dinner. It was insane. Went for dinner and got to see the whirling dirvishes which were the shit.
Then dinner was served and music was played thorughout the dinner which was really pretty and good. The food was amazing and I ate almost everything. i've been trying to be good with not eating veggies or cream based things but its so hard. I think I've been doing it but I forget. I ate a cheese pastry... idk if thats bad or not, and a few veggies. Ah. Just hope. I've been good with the water so far tho.
We shared a table with Norm and his wife, Erin, daddy's canadian friend, and another Rutgers employee and 3 guys, 2 from University fo Maryland, one a turkish friend. They were all very smart. 2 were Turkish and 1 was white. and one turk and the white guy won a prize for their paper. They were poli-sci guys and we talked politics like all of dinner but it was really entertaining and enlightening. I didn't think I'd like the white guy cause I knew he was poli-sci the second I met him and he looked like Mr. Vodofsky, but he ended up being cool. I still think he's a small doses kind of guy. The poli-sci turkish guy was awesome and funny, a big guy 6'2, who almost dated Chelsea Clinton. haha. Good conversations. Anyway then we left after taking more pictures and came back to the hotel. Today was def a fun day and I even got a free pashmina at the dinner that's pink and super cute. :) Tomorrow we're doing a few museums on another tour while daddys at sessions again, and then were breaking from the tour and exploring on our own a bit. Then were gonna go on a cocktail and cruise on the bospherus which will be beautiful :) I'm having a lot of fun and don't wanna leave. This part of the tirp is too short for sure as tomorrow is Friday and we leave on Sunday!! Oh well, I'll come back for sure, I mean I do still have a roundtrip ticket from Madrid waiting for me right??
OK well I gotta get up early tomorrow so I'm gonna watch some TV and take some meds so this damn cough goes away. Until tomorrow :) Current Mood: amused | | 5:04 pm |
The adventure begins...
So Mark came to the train station where I picked him up and I proceeded to show him the rules of the house and all the chores. I packed and got shit ready. Josh drove me to the airport. I said bye to him, sad I only got to spend a few hours and one dramatic evening with him, but thankfully I will be seeing him again in July. :) So. I get to the gate and after several online checks and phone notifications, all which say the flight is on time, I find out it is delayed an hour. I go to buy some lo mein (delicious) and miso soup (the worst I've had) and chill out on the non-free-wireless internet that EWR so generously offers. Bastards. I then realize that due to the delay that Continental seems to have implemented as a new policy on all of their flights, that I will miss my connecting flight in Madrid. I called Josh to find out when the next one was coming only to hear the awful news that one was not going out until the same time the next day. GRR. So I finally board the plane and I am seated next to a relatively good looking young Spanish guy. I dont know what happened, whether it was my asking him to lift my bag into the overhead compartment, get up once so I could grab something from the bag, or the fact that I had my feet up under me, that caused him to relocate (since the flight was far from full) but regardless I got the two seats to myself. I watched the sky outside my window for a while and got to see a series of lightning storms miles apart from one another in the night sky which was the shit. Then I watched Bridge to Terabithia, which I would NOT recommend. It's strange and sad, although not necessarily bad.. but whatever, and then passed out snuggled up on the two seats. I awoke to a fucking GORGEOUS sky outside and the coolest clouds ever. Finally landed in Madrid and asked the guy on the plane what to do about my flight (we landed at 10:31 and the flight was leaving at 10:50). He said it was Continentals fualt and to talk to an agent on the ground. I felt comforted by this until I realized that not only were there no agents on the ground but no monitors or really walls. The airport was under construction, none of the cops spoke english, and when I finally found out where I was supposed to go, (terminal 4, while I was in terminal 1) it took me about a half hour to get there. Needless to say the flight was missed. I went to the Iberia counter and it was confirmed that I would have to spend the night there, as well as pay an extra 50 euros for the flight out the next day (about $66). This plus the cost of a Madrid hotel nearby would have come to about $260. So the planning began. After speaking with a Turkish airline representative who was extremely nice, I found out their tickets cost about 450 EU (closer to $600) so that was out. He told me to come back later and see if anything progressed. So here's the problem. I have no way of contacting my parents who were currently on a flight, can't find a goddamn pay phone in the whole airport, don't speak spanish, don't get wireless and have no idea where a hotel is, nor does anyone in the airport. SO after panicking for about 5 seconds, I realized I'm the girl who got us out of the FLA disaster and that this should be a piece of cake. So I began my magic ;) Found a payphone after asking about 4 people where they were and miming phone with my pinky and thumb like a dumbass, called Ahmet, the Turkish guy telling him I wouldnt be at the airport at 3. Step one done. Found a business center and bought a half hour of internet, found a hotel, and researched airline prices... all too expensive. So next was to go back to the payphone and book the hotel, and if not call Amex to figure shit out for me. But I decided before purchasing or reserving anything to give turkish air one more shot. As luck would have it, a new guy came on shift right as the old guy was leaving. Both were very nice and very sympathetic to my cause, however, the new one was willing to break the law for me :) oh turks. Gotta love em. He hooked shit up, i dont know how, i think he gave me like an agent's discount? Anyway he didn't tell me what he did but he got me a roundtrip ticket for 264 Euros, or $340, which was not only way cheaper than the one I had with Iberia air (which is not being refunded) btu was only slightly more expensive than staying the night there. So I booked it within 45 minutes of boarding time, ran to the gate, and made the flight. Here I got even more good luck and the lady at the check-in had booked me into an ampty 3 seater so I slept the whole flight sprawled out. I was in the last row though, right by the bathroom, so I periodically woke up to people watching me sleep as they waited in line. This was creepy the first couple of times when I hadn't yet realized that there was a bathroom there... especially when I awoke to an old woman sitting in the 3rd chair in my row who was apparently resting, although it took me a while to figure this out. So finally I landed, and was in Istanbul. YAY! Now to figure out how the hell to get into the country and into the hotel. Ahmet was supposed to do something special and bring me thorugh security.. although I think this was only arranged because I was travelling alone. So after figuring out that I needed to buy a visa, a very simple process, I did, and made it through. Got my baggage, first bag off!! (First time this had ever happened to me.. Good luck continues!!) and then the bad part came again. Figuring out HOW to work a turkish payphone. This is not easy.. and I never figured it out, and somehow cut up my hand in the process.. I know I'm a spaz. Anyway so after panicking again for a little bit and having a Chinese lady think I stole her suitcase, I decided I'd better ask someone. But to be honest, I was kidna creeped out by most of the guys in this part of the airport, all who were eyeing me very creepily. So I found some random booth back by passports and asked a guy to help me use the phone. After looking at the number I was calling (the Hilton) he told me his job was transporting people there. I thought what luck! He brought me back to his stand, where there were numerous other turkish people, and lo and behold, it was the democratic security conference booth. HA! Wasn't that lucky!! Thing is I knew I couldnt take a ca because of security reasons (the place is like LOCKED DOWN) so I had to get transportation. Crazy. Anyway while there a guy approached me who ended up knowing me because my dad taught him, and he took me to the police hangout place. haha i'd call it somethign else btu it was honestly that. A room with couches, tea and cops. It was fun, chillin out drinking turkish tea with turkish police and the chief of passports in the backroom of the Ataturk Airport. haha We waited for the last person to get off the plane and took the bus. While I was waiting, I made good friends with a guy named Onur, the cute guy I asked to help me with the phone. He gave me his email and a website with Istanbul nightlife and offered to show me around sometime this week. Idk if I'll get to take him up on his offer btu he was a real sweetheart, and a mechanical engineer in his senior year of college :) Oh turkish boys. Lexi, I get it now. hahaha. The one to the left of me is Onur. He's really cute in person, this photo doesn't do him justice at all. The guy on the end is Daddy's student who's name I totally just blanked on and need to find out!! And the guy taking the picture was ADORABLE but he offered to take it and I wasn't about to be like NO I WANT A PICTURE OF YOU TOO!! haha. Wow this is getting long so I'll wrap it up. Got to the hotel, said bye to the turkish boys and met up with daddy. Got to see Norm and company (other academics) and mommy and ate some delicious food. Then finally got to the room and WOW... just WOW!! I will take pictures but its like an apartment. It's amazing and gorgeous and there are like 12 huge windows. Damn. So then me and Daddy went to the local 7-11 for food, saw all the crazy intense security. Then, back at the room, I wrote down all the english speaking TV channels, watched a few shows and passed out. Great first day, even though it was all travel. This made me feel very confident about being able to travel on my own... something i definitely need to do in the near future. I CAN DO IT! haha ah. Ok new post for day 2 :) | | Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 | | 12:04 pm |
So yesterday i moved into the house. When i walked in with mommy daddy and grandma, we honestly wanted to bitch u out lexi. the place was filthy and gross and falling apart. (dont worry the story gets better). So i had decided that i wasnt moving in and that my sleepover was off but i couldnt go home because i had to wait around for the meeting. To make a long story short, everyone at the meeting felt the same way and it was only our room out of al the rooms that was gross because the girl that lived here before was and had a party the last night. hobag. Anyway, so after talking with the girls, who are all soooooo cool btw and one of them is erika paige, the one who lived with cherish on ur floor... blonde lacrosse player... anyway, me and emily decided to like REDO the room. But she wont be staying or like around much so really she gave me the good to go for anything. So i went to the store and the first thing i bought was a delicious melon smelling air freshener. Then i went with emily and bout cleaning supplies and a swiffer carpet flick which impressed me a lot. Emily helped me move some things in and then she left and i started cleaning while jana kept me company. I did the floor, which needs to be done again after last nights festivities, but the best part was swiffer wetjetting the walls haha. I need to talk to the landlord about a lot of things like a new coat of paint, the mold in the bathroom, the shower that wont drain and a number of other things, but hopefully he wont be an asshole and will take care of them for me. so last night jana swap helen and jane all came over. we drank margaritas and wine and then went out to jane's friends friends party. There was a cute boy there that i wanted to see and i met him and he was cool, this kid named charlie, but then chris showed up from my gay and lesbian history class with that other kid dave who i talked to thru facebook and two girls who were both sooo awesome haha. anyway so i hung out with chris for most of the night and that was very fun. but helen told me that charlie was like looking for me all night haha which makes me feel bad. Ill email u details and explanations and stuff but yea. So we went to RU Grill and had cheese fries and the girls had fat sandwiches. i was very drunk but had a good night. im going to make the house look awesome. the girls gave me permissino to get shit for the living room too which is the next project after ur room and bathroom. its gonna be fun. i love you and ill send u an email.
